Mulembe! Bananga bali Emma.
Hello! My name is Emma.
My name is Emma Richardson. I am a senior at the University of Notre Dame studying Sociology and Science Pre-Professional Studies. Although I'm still pre-med, I decided to take a few years off before starting medical school due to my internship in Uganda. Understanding the difficulty and stress that accompanies medical school applications, I decided that I did not want to worry about it while in Uganda. It was a great decision. I'm not sure what I'll be doing during my gap years, but I am excited for the wide range of opportunities that I am able to pursue.
In the future, I want to attend medical school, preferably at a school that has a program focusing on international or global health. I would like to work abroad, perhaps even in the Bududa district of Uganda again. I am interested in working with Doctors without Borders or a similar organization in the future.
